Simple synthetic bovine tuberculin (PPD) for allergic diagnosis of
tuberculosis in different animal species (except poultry). Tuberculin obtained
by spontaneous autolysis of Koch bacillus (Vallée strain) cultured on synthetic medium
(Weybrige medium) and titrating at least 25,000 IU/ml
Pharmaceutical form:
Suspension for injection.
Indications:
“In vivo” diagnosis of the immune reaction generated
against Mycobacterium bovis, agent of tuberculosis
bovine (simple intradermo-tuberculination).
The joint use of AVIAN TUBERCULIN PPD
allows in vivo diagnosis of the immune reaction
generated against M. bovis, by differentiating animals
reactive to M. bovis of those rendered susceptible to
bovine tuberculin, following exposure to other mycobacteria or associated genera (intradermo-comparative tuberculin).
