AVIAN TUBERCULIN
Reagents for the allergic diagnosis of poultry tuberculosis and paratuberculosis
in cattle.Tuberculin for screening cattle for infections due to
avian or atypical mycobacteria, obtained by culture of avian bacilli (strain D4 ER
of Weybridge) on synthetic medium (Weybrige medium) titrating 25,000 units per ml.
Pharmaceutical form:
Lyophilisate for preparation of an injectable suspension.
Indications:
Screening for tuberculosis in poultry.
Screening of cattle for infections due to
avian or atypical mycobacteria (Johne’s bacillus agent of paratuberculous enteritis).
Administration:
On the same side of the neckline, intradermal injection
0.1 ml of bovine tuberculin and 0.1 ml of tuberculin avian.
